Our Story
Years ago, Clint began a dedicated search for the perfect dogs, prioritizing temperament, intelligence, and unique markings. His journey culminated in finding two remarkable Australian Shepherds who would become the foundation of our breeding program. Later, he met his wife, whose vibrant personality, he often jokes, was a perfect match for his beloved K9 female, just with two hands instead of four paws.
Our journey with Australian Shepherds spans over two decades. Caywood Aussies officially began with our cherished family pets, Bad Creek Brizzie (a red tri) and McCullah's Bodie (a blue merle). For 8-9 years, they were not only our companions but also our dedicated breeding pair. We continuously learn and evolve our practices, committed to upholding the highest standards in breeding.
We believe in a meticulous approach to finding our breeding dogs. Just as we spent 2-3 years finding Bodie and Brizzie, we dedicated the same time to finding our current beloved pair, Maggie (a red tri with striking blue eyes, from Oklahoma) and Tripp (a blue merle male, also from Oklahoma). Their superior qualities reflect our commitment to the breed.
