Your adorable Aussie pup will be ready to join your family at 8 weeks old.

What registries can I register my puppy with?

What does "clear on the Aussie panel" mean?
"Clear on the Aussie panel" signifies that both parents have undergone comprehensive genetic testing and have been cleared of a specific set of genetic diseases common in Australian Shepherds. This helps ensure a higher likelihood of your puppy's future health.

How often will I receive puppy updates and photos?
We understand the excitement of waiting for your new furry friend!  We'll share the journey with you by posting weekly photos of the litter on our social media platforms. Additionally, we'll send you individual photos of your chosen puppy as they grow and develop.

What kind of puppy food will they be on?
Our puppies will be weaned onto a high-quality puppy food called Diamond Puppy from Tractor Supply Co (TSC). This food provides all the essential nutrients your growing pup needs for a healthy start.  We recommend continuing with this food after you bring your puppy home.  However, if you choose to switch foods, it's important to do so gradually to avoid stomach upset. We'll provide you with a small bag of the food the puppies are currently on, and you can slowly mix it with your chosen food over a week-long period. This will help your puppy adjust to the new diet comfortably.

Do the puppies come with any vet checkups or vaccinations?
Absolutely! The health and well-being of our puppies is a top priority. Each puppy will receive a thorough veterinary checkup before going home with you.  This checkup typically includes:

*Physical examination by a licensed veterinarian
*Age-appropriate vaccinations to protect your puppy from common diseases
*Deworming to eliminate internal parasites

You'll receive a detailed vet check sheet included in your take-home folder, which will document the specific vaccinations and any additional information from the vet visit. This ensures you have a clear record of your puppy's initial health and care.

What kind of training do the puppies receive before going home?
We understand the importance of starting puppies off on the right paw! We begin the process of potty training by introducing the puppies to a designated area and creating a consistent routine. This includes using puppy pads or taking them outside on a frequent schedule. While this lays the groundwork for successful continued training in their new homes, comprehensive training requires ongoing dedication and consistency.  We're happy to provide resources and recommendations to help you continue your puppy's training journey after they go home with you. The strong bond that forms between you and your new puppy during training is a rewarding experience for both of you!

What is the application process like for adopting a puppy?
You will first inquire about a puppy and tell us about you and your lifestyle. We will chat and get to know each other either by email or phone. Once you're ready to pick a puppy that's available, you will place a deposit/holding fee to secure that puppy and sign a deposit form and a simple contract.

Do you offer any guarantees with your puppies? (health guarantees, etc.)

Yes, we do. It will be stated in the contract as well. This is just a break down.

General Health Warranty:
*Breeder warrants the puppy's good health at the time of sale.
*This excludes parasites (treatable condition).
*Refer to vet records for details.
Veterinary Examination: We strongly encourage a vet visit within 72 hours of pickup. If a licensed vet finds the puppy unhealthy during this period, provide proof via email (refer to vet records at pickup). We will not reimburse any veterinary fees.
Congenital Defects: Claims require documentation by a licensed veterinarian, including any testing.
We reserve the right to have a vet of our choice verify the diagnosis (this is the only breeder-funded vet visit).
We will not reimburse any veterinary fees.
Uncontrollable Factors: Temperament, potty training, size, coat length, eye color, dewclaw regrowth, and undescended testicles cannot be guaranteed as they can change with development.
Timeline for Claims: Report any health concerns beyond the initial 72 hours within a reasonable timeframe for consideration.

What happens if I need to rehome my puppy for some reason?
We understand unforeseen circumstances can arise.  While we can't take back a puppy under any circumstance, we are committed to supporting our puppies throughout their lives.  If you ever need to rehome your dog, we'll  work collaboratively with you to find a responsible and loving new home. This may involve helping you connect with breed-specific rescue organizations or responsible rehoming resources.  Our priority is to ensure your puppy finds a safe and happy environment, even if it's not with you anymore.
We will help you find a new home for the puppy/dog, but we will not take back a dog under any circumstance due to our personal choice.

How long have you been breeding Australian Shepherds?
We have been breeding as a 1-2 litter a year hobby breeder since 2017!

Are the puppies socialized?
Absolutely! We prioritize early socialization for our puppies. They are handled and played with daily by children of various ages, and we regularly introduce them to new experiences and people. This foundation helps them develop into confident and well-adjusted companions.
